Greetings In the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
At Mission Park Baptist Church, we are proud to follow our Lords direction as stated in Matthew 16:15 “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” To that end, we support missionaries in our state and throughout the world. In this post, it is our pleasure to introduce them to you.

If you have a love to help hurting children, would you consider ministering to them at The Naomi House? They have prayer and practical needs like personal items, etc. You can view the variety of needs that they have here. They also have a need for volunteers like facilities personnel, nannies and others. Won’t you consider being a blessing and consider supporting The Naomi House? Thank you.

David and Jerrine Berkey serve the body of Christ in Caracas, Venezuela, initiating church startups and overseeing growth and ministry. David serves as co-pastor of El Puente (formerly the Confraternidad Cristiana Internacional), a young church in the southeast section of the city with a solid group of believers that is generating its own momentum.
Through years of prayer and hard work, God has led many men and their families to Christ through the Berkey’s ministry, leading them in recent years to begin a membership course and a discipleship program. They have also established a worship ministry that now runs itself. They would like to take the church to the next level of maturity, which includes developing elders. David and Jerrine desire to see God build a big, healthy, vibrant and caring church where He can transform the lives of the multitudes of Caraqueños (Caracas natives). Brian and his wife Emelda live in Saint David, Arizona. They have four children and nine grandchildren. Brian is retired from the U.S. Navy after twenty years and has worked twelve years as a locomotive engineer for two railroads. He is a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Benson, Arizona, where he is a trustee and the men’s ministry director. He has been a member of the Gideon’s International for eight years, where he has held the positions of camp secretary, camp treasurer and membership chairman.
While Emelda leads a Widows’ ministry from their home, Brian has been called to reach the service men and women stationed at two military installations in southern Arizona, as well as a prison ministry at three area prisons. Brian has a great love for our service members and states, “My experience of God’s mercy and grace while in the Military makes me uniquely qualified to be used of the Lord to minister to the men and women serving our country. I don’t like the word qualified because I know how inadequate I am, but I am surrendered to let the Holy Spirit work through me in any capacity.”
God has done amazing things in Brian’s and Emelda’s life to bring them to this point. They are excited to share God’s love, grace and mercy with everyone they come in contact with. If you would like to support their ministry, kindly click here.
